The Old Abiquiú Bed & Breakfast has been in existence since 1999, offering a relaxing retreat from the busy, bigger world.  There are two beautifully appointed lodging rooms in the comfortable adobe house, surrounded by garden areas and a huge patio/portal shaded by an ancient cottonwood tree. The Chama River runs at the edge of the property and offers a sheltered cove for terra-lodging™ in which to camp/tent/picnic.

In 2013, the B&B expanded to include bosque camping, offering a unique refuge for those who wish to have a more adventurous experience in the open space adjacent to the bed & breakfast property. The camp sites  have running water, lights and electrical hook-ups, easy access to toilet and shower, and WI-FI access on the portal of the B&B. The site is already officially listed on the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route map as a rest-stop for long-distance cyclists.

The location in magical Northern New Mexico, on the Rio Chama, is a place where you can explore a dream, discover your own path, reflect on the rich history and culture of the area, or simply bask in the splendor of the sky with its spectacular sunsets and bright stars. You will appreciate the majesty of the mountains and the mesas, the softly rippling river, and the songs of the birds in the ancient cottonwood and olive trees.

The proprietor of Old Abiquiú B&B is a long-time resident of the area, with a wealth of knowledge, not only about Abiquiú, but many other world sites, since she is also an avid and adventurous traveler & trekker. She has a passion for sharing some of what she herself has experienced in other lands – - walking, carrying a back-pack, sleeping in a tent on a lonesome hillside, being fed and cared for by strangers. Now, by the labor of her own hands, she has created a unique space for others to share and enjoy her wonderful piece of the earth engaging in terra-lodging™ with a sense of responsibility and gratitude for the earth.
